Plant of the Month June 2015
Blaze Climbing Rose
Rosa ‘Blaze Improved’
This lovely climbing rose is very vigorous and easy
to grow. The magenta red semi-double flowers appear in clusters, with the heaviest bloom at first flush, and then intermittently throughout the summer. A final flush occurs in the cooler temperatures of September. The strong color of the flowers is contrasted nicely by the dark, green foliage. It has a soft fragrance.
This eye catching variety will climb to 10’-15’, and should be spaced 6’-8’ feet apart. A nice vertical accent for the garden. Give Blaze full sun with well drained soil and you will be rewarded with an abundance of beautiful blooms.
